Parents in Osun State have been urged to be active stakeholders in the educational developments of their children and wards.
To this extent, they have been asked to check daily studies and homework and assignments given to them by their teachers.
This call was made by a veteran broadcaster and public relations expert who is also the Chairman, Parents-Teachers Association of Adventist Grammar School, Ede, Chief Ayodele Adeyemo.
Adeyemo made the appeal at a presentation of assorted books and scorlaships to students in the senior school section on virtually all examination subjects by a non- Government Organisations called Dee Tee EduFoundation.
“It is only when parents play an active role as stakeholders in the educational developments of their children and wards that teachers’ efforts can be fruitful,” opined Adeyemo.
To this extent, parents should check daily studies and homework and assignments given to their children and wards by their teachers.
It is by so doing that parents can monitor attendance in school and prevent truancy and joining bad gangs.
